Local AI visibility: what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity recommend, city by city, language by language

I asked 7 AIs the same questions in four cities, in each language of the city. Change the language and the names often change. Measured on 29 October 2026, one month after the first measurement (24 to 30 September).

These are the AIs’ answers, not a quality ranking. A business missing from these lists can be excellent. That is exactly the problem.

Frequently asked questions

Does ChatGPT name my business in your city?

Not necessarily. Across the professions measured in your city, most businesses are not named in any answer. Those that are change with the language of the question. The Snapshot measures your business in your language and your city.

Why do the answers change with the language?

The AIs search different sources depending on the language: directories, media, websites. In your city, the sources cited in French, English and local languages are not the same. A business visible in one language can be missing in the other.

Which AIs are measured?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity and the other AIs of the panel, with and without web search, with 8 identical buyer questions for each profession.

Are these figures a quality ranking?

No. They are the AIs’ answers, measured on a given day. A business that is missing can be excellent. That is exactly the problem.

How do I get my business, or a client’s, measured?

The Snapshot: two targets (two languages, two cities or two personas), the full report with the actions and their proofs, and the second measurement 30 days later. See the Snapshot
